Virtual 5k for coffee

Way back from the XC coaching days
Since I missing running and you are able to run...I'm going to take on a new role.  Race Director.  Here's how it's going to work.

1.  Run (walk or run/walk) a 5k (3.1 miles) between Nov. 5-14.  This can be a run in your neighborhood, treadmill, trail, or an actual race that you ran this weekend or next.  Just make sure to time it!
2.  Email me your name and time at:  heather.m.winkler@gmail.com
3.  Winner will get a free $5 starbucks card

Now for the fun bonuses:
1.  Become a follower of my blog and get a 30 second deduction on your time
2.  Leave me a comment: tell me what is your favorite coffee from Starbucks 15 sec deduction
3.  Leave me a comment:  tell me how you dealt with Plantar Fasciitis (if you had it)20 sec deduction
4.  Spread the word on your blog (and let me know) and get 30 seconds off

Now go have an awesome run for me!  This is perfect weather for it!

  1. love your blog!
My favorite coffee from Starbucks is the instant packets.
I've had Planter Fasciitis, but never really bad. I rolled my feet on a "Stick" before running. It lasted for 3 weeks but I could still run as long as I rolled my feet.

  2. Just joined your blog, will try your challenge though....

Don't like coffee, but I like Awake Tea Lattes.

I did foot stretches every morning when I woke before I got out of bed and wear a brace to bed if I feel it acting up. I also use KT tape on runs.

I will spread the word on my blog on my next post.

  3. Okay, I've added you on my Google page, and I think I can follow you directly through Blogger with by blog.

I get the same thing, always, at S-bucks: Grande Soy Latte with sugar in the raw (unless I'm really tired, then I get an extra espresso shot).

Kind of a punt on the PF, but WebMD recommends giving it a rest. Biking is probably a good option.
